What happens when you don't ventilate properly Natural ventilation represents one of the key factors for healthy and ultimately satisfied living. A sufficient supply of fresh air during the day and night fundamentally affects the mental well-being and physical condition of each of us. A study, Healthy Homes Barometer 2016, highlights the serious health consequences of staying in an enclosed space with a poor microclimate. This study was prepared by the Humboldt University of Berlin in cooperation with VELUX for 14 European countries, including the Czech Republic. Among the most serious issues are throat and nasal infections, which regularly affect nearly 70% of Czechs. |

VELUX = VE (ventilation) + LUX (light) Every year, VELUX organizes many activities aimed at educating students of secondary and higher schools in the fields of architecture, healthy living, and environmental sustainability. Examples include the high school competition "Life Under One Roof" and the international competition for university students "Active House Award." This idea follows the legacy of its founder, Villum Kann Rasmussen, who believed that people have a certain consumption, and the surplus should be utilized in some way to give back to society. A significant part of VELUX's philosophy is also the effort to support social events and help those in need. For this purpose, the VELUX foundation operates, specifically, the VILLUM FONDEN foundation also works in the Czech Republic. |
