Czech industrial production has a rich tradition, and our products have world-class quality and reputation.

The production and use of fiber cement roofing has a history of over a century in the Czech Republic. We can find the tiled roofing on a number of historical buildings, while the corrugated roofing is predominantly known from agricultural buildings.
Currently, two manufacturing plants of the Cembrit company produce fiber cement roofing in the Czech Republic. The plant in Beroun manufactures tiled roofing, while corrugated roofing is produced in Šumperk. Most of the produced goods are exported to England, France, and the Nordic countries, where they are highly popular.

The production technology has remained the same in both plants for one hundred years, but the production equipment is modernized and the composition of products is changing. Thanks to research, the composition of the material continues to improve. Current fiber cement products are made exclusively from environmentally friendly natural raw materials. The basic raw materials for the production of fiber cement include cement, mineral fillers, cellulose, non-toxic organic fibers, and of course, a small amount of water. Due to the use of purely natural materials, the products are fully recyclable (e.g., used in crushed form as an additive in concrete or as lost formwork) and in line with sustainable development trends.

The secret behind the extraordinary strength and durability of Cembrit's fiber cement products lies in the manufacturing technology. Thin layers of fiber cement are piled on top of each other and subjected to significant pressure in a press before final curing. The number of stacked layers reinforced with carefully selected fibers gives fiber cement products an unparalleled strength compared to other products in the global market.
Light fiber cement roofing is excellent for the reconstruction of all older roofs, including those located on heritage-protected buildings, when the older framework can no longer support heavy tiled roofing.

Due to its good properties, which include low weight, vapor permeability, good sound insulation, and shape flexibility during installation, along with its clean design appearance, it is increasingly finding its place on the roofs of modern new buildings, whether they are classic houses or wooden structures.
