Prague – Prague 3 has completed the revitalization of the park between Soběslavská and Šrobárova streets near the Faculty Hospital of Královské Vinohrady. It includes a new children's playground that will feature items such as climbing frames and swings. The park's modifications are intended to transform a long-neglected space into a quality public area for relaxation and active movement. The city district announced this in a press release. The total costs for preparation and implementation amounted to 6.6 million crowns.

Preparations for the park's modifications began back in 2022, and local residents were involved in its design. The authors of the proposal are architects Pavlína Malíková and Aleš Steiner.

"With the revitalization of the park, we wanted to create a pleasant and safe environment that will serve not only as a passageway but also as a place for everyday relaxation and leisure activities," stated the mayor of Prague 3, Michal Vronský (TOP 09).

The centerpiece of the area is a new open children's playground without fencing, offering play elements for children of various ages. It features, for example, a wooden climbing frame, a swing, and a merry-go-round. In addition to the playground, benches, a paved area with a chess table, and new greenery, including trees and perennial flowerbeds, have been added.

Prague 3 has about 74,000 residents and includes Žižkov and parts of Vinohrady, Vysočany, and Strašnice.
