The purpose of the competition is to obtain the most suitable design of a sculptural work - the monument to Edmund Husserl, including its placement, which meets the requirements of the contracting authority contained in these competition conditions, and to select a participant with whom the contracting authority will negotiate in a subsequent negotiation procedure without publication (hereinafter referred to as "JŘBU") in accordance with the provisions of § 143 paragraph 2 and § 65 ZZVZ regarding the commissioning of the subsequent contract - "Creation of the E. Husserl monument in Prostějov". The work is understood as a tribute to the native of Prostějov, Edmund Husserl, mathematician and philosopher, the founder of phenomenology. The artistic work should become a permanent and integral part of the E. Husserl square, should withstand the test of time both materially and conceptually in the long term, and should contribute to honoring this world-famous phenomenological philosopher as well as to enriching and cultivating the chosen space and consequently the entire city center. The work should take into account the significance of the personality of E. Husserl and the context of the given space. The subject of the competition is the preparation of a competition proposal for a sculptural work, the conception, material representation, and compositional as well as urban integration of which will be left to the creativity of the author.
