Jan Kotěra a jeho žáci - komentovaná prohlídka na Umprum

The guided tour of the exhibition led by curator Josef Holeček will focus on key themes related to the teaching of architecture at the Arts and Crafts School around 1900. It will concentrate both on the institution itself and its functioning, as well as on the teaching of architecture under the direction of Kotěra's predecessor Friedrich Ohmann. Attention will be primarily given to Jan Kotěra's activities at the school, including his arrival, the way he developed pedagogical methods, and his subsequent departure to the AVU. In conclusion, the tour will focus on the students who attended Kotěra's special school of decorative architecture – both their school work and later realizations.

Conditions for entry to the UM Gallery
Entry to the UM Gallery is subject to extraordinary hygiene measures of the Ministry of Health, according to which every visitor is required to wear a respirator according to relevant standards (e.g., FFP2, KN 95) or a nanomask in all areas of UMPRUM and maintain a distance of 1.5 meters.

Groups of more than 20 people must present the following before entering the exhibition:
- A valid certificate of completed vaccination ⁠⁠–⁠⁠ at least 14 days must have passed since the last dose; or
- A certificate of having undergone a laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 illness, from which no more than 180 days have passed; or
- A negative result of an RT-PCR test, which is not older than 72 hours for:
a) persons under 18 years old
b) persons who cannot be vaccinated due to contraindications
c) persons vaccinated against COVID-19, provided that at least 14 days have passed since the last dose of the vaccine (the second for two-dose vaccines, the first for single-dose vaccines).
