Ješted f kleci 25 - invitation to the announcement

Ještěd F Kleci is a student competition held for the twenty-fifth time at the end of each semester at the Faculty of Art and Architecture of the Technical University of Liberec.
We will kick off the JFK week on February 22, 2021, with a video call with the jurors and their presentations in the form of Pecha Kucha.
On Thursday, February 25, the jury will agree on the winners in the categories of architecture and art based on a joint debate. The results of the competition will be revealed the following day, Friday, February 26, in a festive stream, to which all JFK fans are warmly invited.
This year’s edition is already the second one that has been deprived of its traditional course in the studio of Karel Hubáček at the Technical University. Therefore, a virtual studio has been created, in which student works will be displayed and can be viewed even if you are not currently in Liberec.
The student works will be evaluated by: Pavla Melková, architect and architectural theorist, Adam Štěch, journalist and one of the founders of the creative group OKOLO, Alžběta Brůhová, architect and founder of the group Architektky, and the young designer duo Eduard Hermann and Matěj Coufal.
Since the competition must take place online in the current situation, a slight break from computer screens will be provided by exhibitions in the windows of six popular Liberec businesses, which will take place behind the glass from the beginning of the JFK week. The idea is to create an urban walking route for art and support the businesses that are currently struggling. The exhibitors are David Hanvald (Vokno), Veronika Čertíková (HRST), Filip Dvořák (Bistro Široká), Jan Měřička (Výčep), Jan Picko (Kino Varšava), and Anina Menger (Mikyna). A map of the businesses and artists will be available on the website, Facebook, and Instagram of Ješted F Kleci.
Like every edition, this one also has its own visual created by young graphic designers Darjan Hardi and the studio ZDAAR. A novelty is Merch for home – socks created in collaboration with Linda Retterová alias ROE using screen printing techniques and t-shirts bearing the JFK graphics. Merch will be available for purchase at the design shop HRST in Liberec.
