Krnov - The Krnov City Hall will announce an architectural competition next year for the design of a new aquapark. It is to be built next to the current municipal baths for approximately 300 million crowns. The construction should be completed in 2026. This was reported today by the city spokesperson Dita Círová.
The competition itself will cost the city 4.2 million crowns. An additional 15 million will be paid by the city hall by 2024 for the development of project documentation.
The city plans to announce the architectural competition next year. "Its goal will be to find and reward the most suitable solution that meets the city's requirements and subsequently assign the contract for the development of related project works," said the head of the public procurement department, Klára Hazuchová. Design work is expected to begin in January 2022 and last for two years, with the preliminary start date for implementation set for 2025. The aquapark should then be put into operation in 2026.
It will feature a 25-meter indoor swimming pool with eight lanes, a children's splash pool, an outdoor wave pool, two slides, and a sauna world with both indoor and outdoor areas. The complex will also include facilities for fitness, refreshments, and potentially other supplementary services such as massages, beauty services, pedicure, or rehabilitation. The previous council, which approved the construction of the new baths, set the investment amount at a maximum of 300 million crowns.
