Lanškroun - Lanškroun in the Orlickoústecko region plans to build an indoor swimming pool, which the city currently does not have. An architectural competition will be announced for the project. The location is intended to be within the sports complex next to the ice rink. This was stated by Mayor Radim Vetchý (Lanškrounské forum).
The swimming pool will also include a wellness center with hot tubs, saunas, and play elements for children. The study aims to provide the most suitable solution for the construction of the indoor complex, including an analysis of the investment and operational costs.
"Lanškroun is a city of sports in many different forms and at all levels. After successfully completing investments in culture, healthcare, and the modernization of schools, we are now embarking on investments in the area of sports and recreation. An indoor swimming pool is simply part of the civic amenities of the city," said Vetchý.
The city is also preparing a sports hall, and next year it will present architectural designs to the public. This will be followed by project documentation. The town hall is also working on the construction of a biotope swimming pool, which will be located by Dlouhý pond. Work may begin this year with the construction of a flood protection dam, followed by the construction of the swimming pool in subsequent years.
