With the holidays approaching, so does the deadline for the prestigious competition for young architects under 33 years old - YOUNG ARCHITECT AWARD 2012. Until July 4th, you have the chance to submit your application and secure a unique "springboard" for your professional career. The submitted works will be carefully examined by an expert jury composed of leading Czech architects and professionals. The best projects can significantly influence how the general public perceives the future of Czech architecture. Winners in each category will be provided with space for presentation in significant media and professional titles. The most successful will also receive a financial reward or the opportunity to gain experience through an internship in a leading foreign architectural studio. The winning works will be displayed on panels of a traveling exhibition in several cities in the Czech Republic and next year as part of the exhibition of the best works over five years of the Young Architect Award also at the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery in Prague. The expert jury is selected based on recommendations from the Czech Chamber of Architects. The jury for the 4th year will include:

1st Prize Beton Brož Young Architect Award 2012 in the Projects category worth 30,000 CZK + General Partner's Prize + a physical prize: CAD program Artlantis Studio worth 25,900 CZK excluding VAT + annual subscription to ARCHITEKT magazine
2nd Prize Young Architect Award 2012 in the Projects category worth 20,000 CZK
3rd Prize Young Architect Award 2012 in the Projects category worth 10,000 CZK
1st Prize Beton Brož Young Architect Award 2012 in the Realization category worth 30,000 CZK + General Partner's Prize + annual subscription to ARCHITEKT magazine
2nd Prize Young Architect Award 2012 in the Realization category worth 20,000 CZK
3rd Prize Young Architect Award 2012 in the Realization category worth 10,000 CZK
Josef Hlávka Architect Award in the Realization category worth 25,000 CZK
Rectors Award of ČVUT for schoolwork in the Projects category worth 10,000 CZK + CASUA Award: professional architectural internship in one of the Equator European Architects studios
Archiweb Award for progressive and innovative approach to solutions: voucher for 10,000 CZK for the purchase of book publications
CASUA Award: professional architectural internship lasting 1 month in a selected studio of the European network Equator European Architects. During these internships, we continue to professionally monitor the students and then offer them work in our studio on interesting projects. In return, we expect them to have fresh innovative approaches.
Archiweb Award: will be awarded to a work that is innovative, progressive, and demonstrates an innovative approach to solutions. In addition to the voucher worth 10,000 CZK for the purchase of book publications at Archiweb, the winner will also receive significant media space on the Archiweb.cz portal - an interview, comprehensive presentation of the author: a series of presentations of their designs, works, realizations, etc.
Media Exposure
The project is supported by a strong media campaign in professional press and on professional portals, winners will get space for broader presentation of their work on the pages of media partners.
