This year we will also learn what is happening in the field of architecture in the Opava region. And in the last two years, a lot has happened. The ZaOpavu association organized the 14th edition of this architectural award, which is open to all nominations and is on a purely professional level. It is primarily intended to showcase positive examples of what can be realized in the field of architecture even within the relatively small area of one district. For this year's final, 7 nominations were selected from the entire Opava district. New buildings completed in 2019 and 2020 are evaluated. The award will be granted based on the decision of a professional jury, and there will also be a public award based on an internet vote, which will take place from September 22 to 30 on the website www.zaopavu.cz The winners of the award will be announced at the opening of this year's Days of Architecture on October 1 in Opava at Horní náměstí at 6:00 PM, and the exhibition of this year's nominees, including the evaluation by the professional jury, will be opened as well. The exhibition will be displayed in the 2nd floor of Slezanka at Horní náměstí in Opava from October 1 to 10. The JMO award is realized thanks to the support of: The Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Statutory City of Opava, the Czech Architecture Foundation.
