1st Prize (300,000 CZK) Ing. arch. Zdeněk Rothbauer
Authors: Ing. arch. Vojtěch Sosna, Ing. arch. Jakub Straka, Ing. arch. Jáchym Svoboda
Collaborating person: Ing. arch. Karel Filsak
Jury evaluation: The concept of the design is based on the archetype of a "three-hall" with a gable roof that has a trimmed ridge. The building connects organically with the existing historical building of the restaurant. By placing the façade on the street line, it orients the forecourt of the building to the south. The massing solution allows for unobstructed daylight. The design presents a high-quality spatial operational solution in compact masses. The overall shape concept suitably connects the building with the existing urban character of the related city environment.

2nd Prize (160,000 CZK) GRIDO, ARCHITEKTURA A DESIGN, S.R.O.
Author: Ing. arch. Peter Sticzay- Gromski / Collaborating person: Ing. arch. Martin Dudaško
Jury evaluation: The design is conceptually based on a simple, compact, and scale-appropriate solution that creates a forecourt at the street line. While it is interesting, the consequence is leaving the existing restaurant’s gable exposed, which is not sufficiently addressed by merely opening it with a shop window. The spatial operational solution is among the higher-quality ones, but the authors have encountered some impracticalities, such as the mutually distant changing rooms from the spaces they serve. The design places part of the changing rooms serving sports activities in the exterior within the protective zone of the railway body. This idea is interesting, but its implementation would require an exemption from the protective zone, which would be possible for temporary structures; even in this case, it would be necessary to achieve agreement with the railway authority.

3rd Prize (100,000 CZK) Atelier 38 s.r.o.
Authors: Ing. arch. Tomáš Bindr, Ing. arch. Zuzana Tomaňová, Ing. arch. Petr Doležal, Ing. arch. Jan Zelinka
Jury evaluation: The simple mass does not allow for sufficiently organic and justified connection to the historical building. The merit of the design is adherence to the street line at the ground level, but it is contradicted by the heavy mass at the first floor both materially and aesthetically. The advantage of the spatial solution is the connection between the historical restaurant building and the entrance area of the newly proposed building. A somewhat clumsy part is the console, which is dimensioned excessively in all respects. The formally generous element of the console of the street façade is only utilized for ancillary spaces of storage and a kitchenette.

Reward (20,000 CZK) Ing. arch. Radoslav Novotný
Author: Ing. arch. Radoslav Novotný
Collaborating person: Michal Žák
Jury evaluation: The solution for the street façade and integration of the building into the street space is considered by the jury to be formally successful and generous; however, it contradicts the spatial solution that orients the teaching pool and very cramped entrance areas towards the street. The jury considers the spatial solution, especially the complicated and cramped design of the entrance hall and changing room block, to be inappropriate. A negative aspect of the spatial and operational solution is also the proposal for a large number of - 5 entrances to the building. The design has a massive impression, and the slanted lines of the floor plan solution are somewhat formal and do not correspond to the conditions of the site. The design is the only one addressing the placement of underground garages (a requirement of lower priority in the construction program), but the jury evaluates this step as operationally debatable and uneconomical.

Reward (20,000 CZK) A.D.N.S. PRODUCTION s.r.o.
Authors: Akad. arch. Martin Němec, Ing. arch. Petr Dvořák
Collaborating persons: MgA. Filip Kotlář, MgA. Filip Kosek, Ing. arch. Radka Dosedlová, Ing. arch. Hana Liškutínová, Ing. arch. David Zelenka, Bc. Bohuslav Šenkýř
Jury evaluation: The volumetric solution is considered by the jury to be somewhat awkward, especially on the eastern side of the building and in the areas of the oversized console of the entrance space. In the spatial solution, the duplication of the entrance hall - lobby is debatable, even unnecessary. The jury considers the lighting of the sports hall from the sunlit sides of the building to be inappropriate.
