At the festive gala evening of the Czech Architecture Award, the results of the 7th year of this competitive exhibition of completed buildings organized by the Czech Chamber of Architects were announced on Tuesday, November 8th. The main award was won by Jiří and Barbora Weinzettl from Atelier 111 architects for the design of the family House on Kozina in Trhové Sviny. A total of 201 completed projects from the last five years competed for the Czech Architecture Award in its 7th year.
The finalists from 29 nominated projects were selected by an international jury headed by chairwoman Marialessandra Secchi (Italy). The jury also included architects Ueli Brauen (Switzerland), Katalin Csillag (Hungary), Patrick Koschuch (Netherlands), Pavol Mikolajčák (Slovakia, Italy), Els Verbakel (Belgium, Israel), and landscape architect Kathrin Volk (Germany). In early September, the jury members visited the Czech Republic to view and subsequently discuss the nominated buildings in detail. They evaluated and appreciated them without establishing any categories.
