Results of the competition at the National House in Hranice na Moravicí
Single-round public architectural design competition.
Organizer: City of Hradec nad Moravicí
Subject of the competition: development of an architectural design for the reconstruction of the National House, Hradec nad Moravicí. The building was completed in 1909. Today, it requires a complete reconstruction aimed at creating a modern cultural and social center that meets high demands for versatility for the engagement and activities of a wide range of citizens and associations, while preserving the municipal library, cinema, etc.

2nd increased prize (120,000 CZK): Martin Daněk, Ing.arch. Martin Doležel, Ing.arch. Bc.A. Barbora Ponešová, Ph.D. (Archanti) and Ing.arch. Jan Foretník, Ph.D.
Jury evaluation: Simple concept separates the busy roadway from the rest of the space. The area behind the house is also enclosed with another building. The morphology does not entirely match the character of the municipality. The original building is proposed to be built anew, maintaining the silhouette of the original building. The detailed solution of the façade is not entirely clear. The proposal functionally addresses the internal layout of the building.

Jury evaluation: Simple concept separates the busy roadway from the rest of the space, thus creating interesting new areas related to the original building of the National House, which is preserved in its original form. It also allows for the phased implementation of the construction. It corresponds to the scale and character of the location. The weakness of the project is the insufficient solution of the internal space of the National House.
3rd prize (60,000 CZK): Ing.arch. Luděk Jasiok, Ing.arch. Ondřej Homa, Ing.arch. Tereza Lejčarová (jasiokarchitekti)
Jury evaluation: Monumental minimalist concept of the building is functionally very successful. Somewhat alien to the community, functionally somewhat oversized. The space facing the standing road Opavská No. I/57 is interestingly resolved, as a smaller building creates one of the entrance spaces to the main entrance.
