The Bohuslav Fuchs Prize is a traditional competition for student works at the Faculty of Architecture at the Brno University of Technology, awarded once per semester. The official announcement of the current XVII. Bohuslav Fuchs Prize will take place on May 16, 2019, at 6:30 PM in the drawing room of the Faculty of Architecture. You are warmly invited! As is customary, an afterparty will follow the announcement in the student club Archa.
The Bohuslav Fuchs Prize aims not only to recognize talented students but also to create an impartial perspective on the faculty from the outside. An independent jury composed of personalities from Czech architecture and winners of the previous year selects 3 winning projects, 4–7 awarded entries, the best studio, and the best ZAN.
The jury traditionally consists of 3 independent judges – recognized figures from the architectural scene and 3 students – winners of the previous year.

The participants in the jury for this year's edition include:
Ing. arch. Petr Stolín – a graduate of the FA VUT with experience from SIAL, an architect and educator at the Faculty of Art and Architecture of the Technical University of Liberec, holder of the Czech Architecture Award 2016
Doc. MgA. Petr Stanický, M.F.A – a sculptor and educator at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at the Tomas Bata University in Zlín. He studied sculpture at the Prague UMPRUM and has extensive international experience, completing his postgraduate studies at the New York Academy of Art, where he collaborated with Jeff Koons. His work is characterized by glass, interventions, and subsequent interpretations of space in architecture.
Ing. arch. MgA. Jindřich Ráftl – a graduate of the Faculty of Art and Architecture in Liberec, currently works at the studio FOROMOSA AA, which he founded together with Jindřich Tůma. Together they achieved great success in 2018 when they won the competition for the Czech pavilion at EXPO 2020 in Dubai.
