The Bohuslav Fuchs Award is a student competition organized by the Student Council of the Faculty of Architecture at the Brno University of Technology. It is an award for the best student studio project. It is awarded at the end of each semester by an independent jury composed of recognized figures from the architectural scene who are not affiliated with the FA VUT and students who are past holders of this award from the previous semester.
Participants include:
Mgr. Markéta Žáčková is a theorist of art and architectural history, who has long been involved at FaVU VUT in the Department of Theories and History of Art as a professional consultant.
Ing. arch. Václav Štojdl (PROAM architects) is a native of České Budějovice, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at VUT in Brno, where he also studied at the university in Madrid. After graduation, he worked for a long time in the Brno studio knesl+kynčl architects (2005-2015). In 2015, Václav became a partner at proam architects.
Ing. arch. Pavel Martinka (MASPARTI) is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at VUT in Brno and also a multiple laureate of the CBF. After his studies (2004-2010), he collaborated with Tomáš Pejpek & Szymon Rozwalka (C+HOaR) in Olomouc. In 2011, he founded his own studio MASPARTI with Ondřej Spusta.
In the morning hours, the first selection will take place, from which the winning and awarded works will be chosen. The ceremonial announcement will occur in the afternoon. The winning works of the XV. CBF will be announced during the festive evening on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 6:00 PM at the Faculty of Architecture VUT, Poříčí 5 in Brno. A discussion about the projects, music, and free entertainment will follow. We look forward to your participation.
