Three Groups: Three Czech Analogies to Baugruppe - Exhibition Opening
Building together, living together - this is the phenomenon of baguruppe. Come on Thursday, July 30, 2015, at 7:00 PM to the cargo train station Prague-Žižkov for the opening of the exhibition Drei Gruppen: three Czech analogies to baugruppe. The exhibition will be inaugurated by the deputy mayor Matěj Stropnický.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
With this new exhibition, we do not want to prove that the baugruppe trend has already taken root in our countries. Rather, we would like to show through two projects and one realization that similar efforts are also natural in our environment.
These initiatives were born more or less independently of foreign trends, without significant inspiration from the German model. They are more likely a logical outcome of a certain desire and external circumstances: I cannot achieve it alone, but if I join with people who share a similar desire, it can happen.
The projects are more intimate and may reflect strategies that correspond to the specifics of our environment: fewer vacant lots, more complicated legislation, and different property relations.
For us, they are proof that building in the form of baugruppe - cooperatives - or communities of builders is a natural and logical solution for people who want to realize their own housing in the city .
