The ARCHIZINES exhibition consists of 80 magazines from over twenty countries around the world. The publications are complemented by video interviews with their creators.
The ARCHIZINES exhibition brings to our region hard-to-access independent architectural press to students, recent graduates, and professionals interested in current discourse in the fields of architecture, urbanism, as well as visual culture.
The exhibited titles also demonstrate an inclination towards traditional printed media, a physical alternative to today’s prevalent digital publishing. The catalog for the exhibition and several selected titles will be available for purchase at the Artbooks bookstore in the Faculty of Architecture building.

As part of its world tour, the ARCHIZINES exhibition has already visited cities such as London, Milan, Barcelona, New York, Berlin, Osaka, Porto, Tokyo, Paris, Helsinki, Brussels, and is now coming to Bratislava.

The curator of the ARCHIZINES exhibition is Elias Redstone - an independent curator, correspondent, and editor, based in London and Paris. In 2008, he was one of the curators of the London Festival of Architecture, at the 12th Architecture Biennale in Venice he curated the Polish Pavilion, and two years later at the same biennale he led the British Pavilion. He collaborates with prominent cultural and educational institutions such as the Architectural Association, MoMA, Tate Modern, and the Victoria & Albert Museum. Elias Redstone will personally attend the exhibition opening as well as the first discussion on Alternatives in Architectural Press.

The format of the Bratislava ARCHIZINES exhibition was designed by Martin Jančok and Ľubica Segečová. It is a temporary reading room in the auditorium FA STU, where all exhibited publications will be available for visitors to browse, sit and read, or contribute their opinions to the discussion. The ARCHIZINES exhibition was created under the auspices of the Architectural Association School of Architecture London.
