Bratislava – Antivirus company Eset will build a new headquarters in Bratislava for 200 million euros, or over five billion CZK. The amount includes the acquisition of land in the area of the former Military Hospital, as well as the planned construction including interiors and technology supplies. Completion is planned for the year 2027. The concept for the new Eset Campus was designed by the Danish studio BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group. The company announced this today in a press release.
The campus is set to become a center for technological innovation, science, and research in Central Europe. "Since its founding, Eset has relied on its own research, innovations, and cutting-edge science. This is precisely why we have succeeded in the global market and have become the world leader in cybersecurity. It is important for us that Eset Campus reflects these qualities. Of course, we care about top-notch design, but we would also like to apply the latest scientific findings in the fields of architecture, sustainability, and the environment," said Eset CEO Richard Marko.
The architectural concept is being prepared by the BIG studio, which has a number of world-renowned realizations to its credit. In the Czech Republic, Slovakia, or the Central and Eastern European region, no building based on the BIG studio’s design has yet been constructed. The only exceptions are a few ideas or studies for a building in Prague's Waltrovka, which, however, have not been realized.
Eset plans to create a vibrant place in the area of the former military hospital that will become the epicenter of innovation and creativity. In addition to the new company headquarters and a global scientific-research center, the campus, covering 55,000 m², will provide a high-quality and stimulating environment for IT and technology companies and startups, connecting them with technically focused universities. The campus will also offer a wide range of other useful services and facilities, quality public spaces, and will partly fulfill a residential function in the form of shared housing, primarily for interns and company employees.
Since 1987, Eset has been developing security software for both home and corporate users. In the Czech Republic, it has three development centers in Prague, Jablonec nad Nisou, and Brno. The company has a local representation in Prague, a global headquarters in Bratislava, and possesses an extensive network of partners in over 200 countries worldwide.
