Istanbul Waterfront by Zaha Hadid

The Istanbul city hall announced on April 5, 2006, the winners of the architectural competition for the redevelopment of two coastal districts - the business district of Kartal and the recreational district of Kucukcekmece. Out of six invited firms, Ken Yeang and Zaha Hadid were ultimately selected. The areas will include an opera house, hotels, public parks, offices, apartment buildings, and a large port. Info>
