Bratislava - The investment group Penta has begun construction of a new residential and administrative district in Bratislava. The first phase of the project, titled Sky Park, designed by British architect Zaha Hadid, is expected to be completed by the end of 2019. Penta's spokesperson Gabriel Tóth informed CTK about this today.
The first phase includes the construction of three thirty-story residential buildings with more than 700 apartments, parking spaces, and areas for civic amenities. In the second phase, Penta plans to build two administrative buildings with a total leasable area of over 55,000 square meters; the start of construction for this part of the project depends on the timing of obtaining the necessary building permits.
The project, covering more than 5.5 hectares, is being implemented by Penta near the center of the Slovak capital and the Danube River, in the area of a former industrial zone. Other residential and administrative buildings are being constructed in the vicinity.
In Bratislava, the investment group will also build a new hospital for over 100 million euros (2.7 billion CZK). This project was presented last year by the company Svet zdravia, which operates regional hospitals in Slovakia and is part of the Penta group.
Penta operates in more than ten countries in Europe across various sectors of the economy, including healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, retail, and real estate development.
In Prague, Penta developed the Florentinum administrative complex, which was sold last year to the Chinese group CEFC. In the Czech capital, it also owns the Aviatica office complex in the Waltrovka area in Jinonice. This year, Penta plans to start construction on land between Masaryk Station and Florenc, where it intends to build a complex of administrative buildings with shops and restaurants, as well as a park designed by Hadid.
