<p>The magazine ERA21 has a new editor-in-chief.</p>

Since January 2017, architect and long-time collaborator of the editorial team Filip Landa has replaced Zuzana Morávková as the editor-in-chief of the magazine ERA21. “Filip Landa has been collaborating with the magazine for several years, during which he conceptually contributed to several thematic issues and authored numerous professional texts. In addition, he has experience from both publishing and architectural practice. His expertise and orientation in the field of architecture and urbanism ensure that ERA21 will maintain its current stability and quality of content,” commented Zuzana Morávková on the change. “Printed media are having a hard time at the moment, but thanks to the intensive conceptual work of previous editors and the professional credibility of the editorial board, ERA21 maintains a privileged position not only in the Czech architectural scene. I would like to build on the work of my predecessors, maintain the unique thematic focus of individual issues, and try to more reflect current events in the field within the magazine. I would also like to expand our reach beyond the magazine itself,” adds the new editor-in-chief.

Filip Landa (*1984, Litoměřice) is an architect, pilgrim, and father of two children. He graduated from the Faculty of Art and Architecture at TU in Liberec (2012), and received the rector's award for his diploma thesis. He also studied in Belgium (2010-11 Sint-Lucas Architectuur Gent), and gained experience in architectural offices in the USA (2009 Page & Turnbull, San Francisco) and the Netherlands (2009 MATH architecten, Delft). Since 2011, he has collaborated with the Prague studio Sféra architects, and since 2016 has been running an independent architectural practice with his wife in České Budějovice (FAKT architects). In addition to authorship or editorship of numerous professional publications, he served as an editor of publications for research on the methodology of urban planning at the Faculty of Architecture CTU in Prague (2013-15). He is a co-founder and coordinator of professional regional platforms Liberec-Reichenberg.net and Litoměřice-Leitmeritz.net. He has been collaborating with the magazine ERA21 since 2012, initially as an occasional curator, responsible editor of selected issues, then in the position of external editor and member of the editorial board.
