Prague - Československá obchodní banka will expand its headquarters in Radlice, Prague, with an additional administrative building as part of its cost-saving measures, and will vacate some currently used properties in Prague. The bank informed ČTK about this today. It did not specify the exact amount of savings.

The author of the selected design for the new building and training center is the architectural studio Chalupa Architekti. At the beginning of 2014, ČSOB will announce a tender for a developer who will be responsible for project preparation and construction realization. Construction is expected to take place in 2015 and 2016.
"The goal of the construction is primarily to reduce operational costs. The new headquarters will simplify and streamline cooperation across the entire group's headquarters," stated Zora Křičková, executive director of ČSOB's Facilities Management department. ČSOB approached five architectural studios in the spring. "In the end, we chose the option that best met all our requirements. At this moment, we have selected a design and are refining the brief for the developer tender, which will start at the beginning of next year," she added.
In the new headquarters building, approximately 1400 people will work, who are currently spread across various properties in Prague. In the coming months, ČSOB will begin selling some of these properties. In addition to the building on Roztylská Street in Chodov, this will also include buildings in Pankrác and in Holešovice on U Průhonu Street, with the condition that they can continue to be used until the move. Along with bank employees, staff from some subsidiaries based in Prague will also relocate to Radlice.
