Kutná Hora - The local parish has announced a tender for the renovation of the Kutná Hora church of St. James. The work on the oldest church in the city is estimated to cost more than 80 million crowns, with part of the costs covered by a European grant. The Archdeaconry Church of St. James the Greater is the oldest of the Kutná Hora churches. Construction began after 1330, using Mezholez sandstone extracted from under Mount Vysoká. The building was essentially completed before 1420.
