Náchod - The new bus station in Náchod is set to be ceremonially opened on July 4th. Builders are currently finishing the work on it, said Deputy Mayor Tomáš Šubert to ČTK. The construction of the new terminal will cost approximately 35 million crowns.

"The construction work should be completed by Sunday, June 15th, followed by obtaining the occupancy permit," said Šubert. The new bus terminal will allow passengers to transfer between the train and the bus without getting wet. It will offer a dozen departure stands and four arrival stands for local transport. The reconstruction also includes modifications to the park in front of the station. Construction work on the terminal began last August. Buses are currently departing from temporary stands.
In the center of Náchod, builders are also working on road repairs; for example, until June 2nd, the busy roundabout at U Itálie was closed to traffic. "The actual construction is continuing to another phase, the repair of road I/14 towards Plhovské náměstí," said Šubert. Upon entering the city, motorists must use a detour in this section. The construction work on the road repairs is expected to be completed by the end of July, with costs of approximately 21 million crowns.
