High Mýto - The city architect of High Mýto, Milan Košař, was succeeded by Jakub Chobotský from Hradec Králové starting in October. Košař held the position for 25 years and decided to resign. He served as a professional advisor in decision-making in the areas of urban planning, urbanism, and architecture, and although he did not have the final say, his work was very beneficial to the city, said Deputy Mayor Martin Krejza (ODS) to reporters.
Košař, along with Pardubice architect Aleš Kloš, developed a study for the reconstruction of Vaňorný Square. He also created a study for new housing in the Za Pivovarem area and had an influence on the revitalization of the former barracks in the city.
The former city architect of High Mýto is the author of numerous significant projects and buildings. At the For Arch construction fair in 2000, his design for the Dr. Emil Holub Gymnasium in Holice was awarded, among others. He is currently still the city architect in Ústí nad Orlicí and, newly, in Poděbrady.
The High Mýto city hall is currently preparing several architectural projects. Revitalizations of Otmara Vaňorného Park and Masaryk Gardens are being prepared, documentation for a new park behind the brewery, and a new look for public spaces of the former barracks are being developed. Among the city's plans are the revitalization of the Družba housing estate and the U Potoka housing estate.
