Three entities are interested in the construction of the stadium in H. Králové

Hradec Králové – Preliminary bids in the tender for a new football stadium in Hradec Králové were submitted by three entities. The information was confirmed today by city hall spokesperson Kateřina Šmídová. Originally, four entities were interested in the construction. The tender, which the city announced on September 4, is the fourth in line and is valued at almost 600 million crowns excluding VAT.

The tender administrator and construction manager will now examine whether the bids received by the contracting authority within the specified period meet the city's established requirements. Today was the deadline for submitting preliminary bids.

"In March, we should start discussions in cooperation with the contract administrator and the construction manager with all participants in the tender process who submitted a preliminary bid. The subject of these discussions will be to improve the proposals for the benefit of the contracting authority, namely the city. Subsequently, we will encourage participants to submit final bids, which should happen during the spring months," said the deputy mayor for investments Jiří Bláha (ODS).

According to him, the deadlines will depend on how quickly the participants can provide the necessary materials and address the city's requirements.

The city has been preparing the construction on the site of the partially demolished multi-purpose stadium for over 15 years, and it is one of the priority investments of the city of Hradec Králové, which has a population of one hundred thousand. The contract is issued using the Design and Build method. The basic requirements of the city regarding the size and functions of the stadium are specified. The city expects that the winner of the tender could start construction work later this year.

The competition is currently being resolved in administrative proceedings by the Office for the Protection of Competition due to an objection raised by the construction company PORR, which prevents the city from signing a contract with a potential winner. The company PORR is dissatisfied with some of the tender conditions and the established evaluation criteria.
