Brno - Under the Danuše Muzikářová Park in the center of Brno, public underground two-story garages and public toilets will be constructed. Today, city councilors approved the sale of the land to Magnum Mall, which intends to build these facilities. The total area of the land exceeds 900 m², and the city is selling it for nearly three million crowns. The park will remain on the surface, and a private investor will participate in its maintenance and management.

The city has been working on the agreement for several years. "I am glad that we have finally reached the final phase. We are selling the land in the area of Danuše Muzikářová Park to Magnum Mall so they can build a two-story underground garage along with public toilets underneath. Both services are felt by the public as missing in the center,” said councilor for property management Jiří Oliva (ČSSD).

Magnum Mall owns the adjacent Typos building. The company already purchased part of the surrounding land from the city last year. The second phase of the sale plans to build 93 parking spaces under the park. The public will have access to them from Roosevelt Street. The underground garages will be open to the public 24/7 without any restrictions. The parking regime will be determined in accordance with the city hall or the local council of Brno-střed.
