Prague - The state should spend approximately 27 billion crowns on the insulation of houses within the New Green Savings program by 2020. The government approved the material for the program today. Environment Minister Richard Brabec (ANO) informed about this at today’s press conference following the government meeting. The state will obtain the funds for the program from the sale of emission allowances. The program plans to provide subsidies for family and apartment houses and public administration buildings. Subsidies for apartment buildings in Prague for energy savings and insulation will be announced on April 1, as well as for family houses throughout the republic. A total of approximately 1.1 billion crowns will be available in the program this year, of which 600 million will go to family houses and half a billion to apartment buildings. Brabec also pointed out today that for public buildings, subsidies from the programs will be utilized only from 2019. "Until then, energy savings in this area will be financed from the European program Environment," he stated.
