In the New Green Savings, the greatest interest is in grants for insulation

Prague - According to the Minister of the Environment Richard Brabec (ANO), there is the greatest interest in subsidies for the insulation of family homes in the New Green Savings (NZÚ) program. "If all the pending applications for family homes were completed and submitted to the State Environment Fund, we would have almost exhausted the allocation of six hundred million crowns for family homes today,” Brabec told ČTK today.
    Since May 15, the fund has received nearly 1400 complete applications for family homes amounting to 296 million crowns, with over 2100 applications still in progress for 251 million. A total of 600 million crowns can be used for family homes. "Applicants should definitely not hesitate and submit their applications as soon as possible,” the minister stated.
    The contribution for energy savings and insulation can be utilized by residents for family homes across the country, and for the first time in five years, owners of residential buildings in Prague can also apply for it. In total, this year's NZÚ offers 1.1 billion crowns.
    Interest in subsidies for residential buildings is significantly smaller; there are currently 52 prepared applications for 42 million. However, the investment and preparation of applications for a large residential building is more complex than for a family home and takes longer to prepare.
    Since May 15, the State Fund for Environmental Protection (SFŽP) has been accepting applications. To date, it has received a total of 1435 complete applications for 338 million crowns. According to the ministry, another 2330 applications for 260 million crowns are in "in progress" status. This means that applicants are gradually entering data into the system and still working on the applications.
    This year, the program still includes a ten percent advantage for residents of the Moravian-Silesian and Ústí nad Labem regions due to significant environmental burdens.
    Due to some innovations, the program should be more accessible to owners of family homes; for example, they can newly receive a contribution for smaller energy improvements, such as window and door replacements and partial insulation. The condition is a reduction in energy consumption by at least 20%. The Ministry of the Environment has also promised that the processing times for applications will be significantly shortened.
