Prague - The construction company PSJ will build a luxury seven-story terraced villa with 30 apartments on the southern slope of Bohdalec hill in Prague 4. The company announced today that it aims to complete the construction in the third quarter of next year. The amount of investment has not been disclosed.
The luxury building on Na Křivce street will offer apartments with layouts from 1+kk to 4+kk, ranging from 30 to 120 square meters. The largest apartments are designed as duplexes with their own garden on the ground floor. The building, featuring a glass facade, is divided into two sections of 15 apartments with separate entrances.
The building will be low-energy; for instance, heating and hot water heating will be provided by a heat pump and solar collectors. Ventilation will be managed by a modern air recovery system.
The market for new apartments in Prague has been experiencing significant growth recently. According to joint statistics from Ekospol, Trigema, and Skanska Reality, people purchased 5,950 new apartments in Prague last year, which is an increase of 18.6 percent year-on-year. In the first half of this year, a record 3,550 new apartments were sold in the capital, which is a quarter more than last year. At the end of this year's first half, developers have 7,000 new apartments prepared for sale. Companies are trying to take advantage of this buyer interest and are starting more and more new projects, including luxury ones.
The Jihlava-based group PSJ is among the largest construction companies in the Czech Republic, with revenues exceeding nine billion crowns last year. It participated in the construction of the Prague administrative complex BB Centrum, the Zlatý Anděl complex in Smíchov, the Main Point Karlin administrative building, and the Gallery Fénix & Clarion Congress Hotel Prague in Vysočany. In Brno, the company built the tallest building in the Czech Republic, AZ Tower, and was the general contractor for the renovation of the Municipal House and the Sovovy mlýny. PSJ is also engaged in its own development projects focused primarily on the construction of commercial and residential buildings.
