The theme of the annual conference announced!
#reSITE2017 will focus on what is not visible, yet defines the shape of the city. What does that exactly mean? We are fascinated by the anatomy of cities. How infrastructure reflects in design. How the vital systems of the city manifest in architecture and the urban landscape. We will address everything that makes a city functional, what drives the economy, and consumes a substantial part of urban budgets, even though it is not visible on the surface - for example, technical infrastructure like water. We will showcase high-quality urban spaces, stunning buildings, interpersonal networks, and participation processes that co-create the cities of the future. We will present the highest quality and award-winning projects, focusing on the intersections of infrastructure with private development, citizen engagement, and smart solutions.
reSITE 2017: In/visible City
will take place on June 22-23 at Forum Karlín in Prague.
reSITE invites inspiring and innovative architects of today, landscape architects, urban planners, mayors, and proactive urban creators. In Prague, they will share fascinating ideas, push the limits of urban thinking, and present practical examples of how to successfully address complex challenges. At reSITE, you'll find new opportunities, new partnerships, and discover ways to make our cities better.
