Prague - The company Skanska has purchased land near the Kolbenova metro station in Prague's Vysočany from Codeco UK for 841 million crowns. Skanska informed ČTK about this today. They stated that they plan to build an extensive residential area at the site of the old industrial buildings, which will have good access to the city center.

The E15 newspaper previously reported that residential buildings with approximately a thousand apartments are to be constructed on the site. It mentioned that Skanska Reality is proposing the name Emil Kolben Quarter for the residential complex, after the industrialist who laid the foundation for the surrounding factory development. The current zoning plan according to the newspaper allows for construction, with specific designs to be determined by an architectural competition.
