Skanska is building an administrative center in Pankrác for 1.1 billion CZK

Prague - The construction and development group Skanska is building a new administrative center Parkview in Prague's Pankrác, investing 44 million euros (approximately 1.1 billion crowns). The nine-story building will offer nearly 16,000 square meters, with project completion planned for the first quarter of 2020. The company announced this in a press release today.

The building designed by the architectural studio Richard Meier & Partners has been rising since early April in Prague 4 on Pujmanova Street, near the Arkády Pankrác shopping center. "Parkview will attract attention mainly due to its white facade. The clean white surface is regularly interrupted by balconies, which are located from the second to the seventh floor. They are an aesthetic element that also has practical use - they will serve the tenants of that floor for relaxation," the company stated in the press release.

The floor plan of the Parkview building is shaped like a U. "It is precisely because of the U-shaped floor plan that the offices there will have nearly one hundred percent natural lighting for most of the day," noted Alexandra Tomášková, the director of Skanska Property Czech Republic.

Skanska is one of the largest companies globally providing services in construction, commercial, and residential land development. In selected markets in Scandinavia, Europe, and the USA, it employs more than 43,000 people. The Skanska group entered the Czech and Slovak markets in 1997 and currently operates as Skanska Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as in the markets of Hungary and Romania. It engages in the construction of transportation infrastructure, public facilities, and engineering networks, manufactures its own products, and secures sources for construction.
