Kladno - Students of the Czech Technical University (ČVUT) from the Faculty of Architecture have designed a possible construction development of Kladno near the railway station and the concept of greenery in the city. They are exhibiting their concepts at the Kladno cinema Sokol, spokesperson for Kladno Lucie Steinerová announced today in a press release.

"The students worked with the development area behind the main Kladno station towards Kožová hora, for which the city is also having a formal urban study prepared," said councilor for development Lukáš Hanes (ODS).

The city leadership is preparing an exhibition opening on June 18, where the public will also be able to participate in discussions about the students' designs. "Present will be not only the students and studio leaders but also architect Šimon Vojtík, a professional developer of the urban study for the area behind the station from the Archum studio," added Kladno councilor Anna Gamanová.

According to her, the area near the station is becoming a strategic location, especially with regard to the upcoming launch of the Prague-Kladno fast rail connection project.

The second theme of the exhibited student designs is the concept of urban greenery, for example, in the Ronovka areas, Havlíčkovo náměstí in Švermov, and in the city parks.

According to Gamanová, the students' designs are valuable primarily because they view the city from a perspective that is not constrained by ordinary maintenance issues, costs, and budget limitations, and they are not hindered by conventional views or long-term rules that the city adheres to, and so on.
