The Svratka will be spanned by a bridge at the Brno Spielberk Office Centre

Brno - Another footbridge will cross the Brno section of the Svratka River. It is expected to connect the Spielberk Office Centre administrative complex with the opposite bank, thus linking it to the city center. The pedestrian and cyclist bridge will be in operation from September, said Viera Mižáková, a representative of the development company CTP, to ČTK today.
    A several-kilometer stretch of the Svratka River in Brno is intersected by about twenty road and railway bridges and footbridges. The last one, whose construction began today, will connect the wider city center with an area that has been significantly developing in recent years. However, the area's public transport accessibility is currently poor, as only one bus passes through the street. The three-meter-wide and 41-meter-long footbridge is expected to provide better access, especially for people who work there, Mižáková believes.
    CTP will build, in addition to the extensive complex with 55,000 square meters of office space, a sixteen-story four-star hotel and a twenty-story, 80-meter-high building with additional offices.
    Right across from the Spielberk Office Centre, a new judiciary palace is also being constructed, and a few meters away, Česká pošta opened a new sorting facility this year. Nearby are also two DIY shopping centers and, further from the center, more office complexes. According to earlier plans, a new train station is expected to be located on the opposite side of the new footbridge.
