Brno - The company CTP has completed the rough construction of two high-rise buildings in the Spielberk Office Centre complex in Brno. The taller one has 21 floors and a height of 85 meters, making it a new landmark for Brno. This was confirmed to ČTK by the company's media representative, Jana Bakešová. The construction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of next year. It won't hold its title for long, as it will be surpassed by the AZ Tower skyscraper in mid-2013. Developer CTP Invest renewed its construction plans for the Spielberk Office Centre last year. The firm aims to expand its services in the area, where it offers office spaces, to include a hotel and conference halls. Currently, the builders are working on the cladding of the buildings. The company is also negotiating with potential tenants, but has not yet concluded any contracts. The new landmark of the city has a total of 21 floors, three of which are designated for underground parking. The shorter of the two new buildings has 15 floors, three underground levels for parking, and measures 52.6 meters. According to CTP's CEO Remon Vos, the investment in both buildings amounts to around 65 million euros (1.565 billion crowns). CTP plans for new tenants to move into the buildings in the first quarter of next year. Until then, work will continue inside the building. The Spielberk Office Centre is located near the center of Brno. The zone is attractive to investors. CTP is investing a total of around 200 million euros into the entire office space project. The construction of the high-rise buildings is the third phase of the project. The area is also attractive to other investors. The first Brno skyscraper, AZ Tower, is also being built there. Together with its transmitter, it will reach 111 meters, making it the tallest building in the Czech Republic. The builders plan for it to be completed by mid-2013. Construction started this April.
