Prague - Today, the construction company Syner commenced the construction of an office building near the O2 Arena in Prague, with an investment of 45 million euros (1.15 billion crowns). The investors in the project are the Kaprain Group and Lighthouse Group. The first tenants are expected to move into the building in the spring of 2019. This was communicated to ČTK by Kaprain Group spokesman Ondřej Pechar.
The ten-story building will offer 30,000 square meters of office space. This corresponds to the area of two-thirds of Wenceslas Square in Prague. In addition to an underground parking lot with nearly 200 spaces, the building will include a café, a pharmacy, and a dining hall. "The building does not have to include any larger shops, as a shopping center, Galerie Harfa, is located in the immediate vicinity," stated the owner of Kaprain Group, Karel Pražák.
The main architect of the building is the Israeli company Moshe Tzur Architects International. Its most significant projects include the Amot Atrium Tower in the Israeli city of Ramat Gan and the Millennium Office Tower in Tel Aviv.
Kaprain was founded by Karel Pražák in 2013. From the beginning, it has focused on industry, real estate, and finance. The group's involvement varies from direct acquisitions to roles as independent advisors. The real estate division of the group particularly comprises the construction on plots near the Prague O2 Arena, the renovation of a building on Pařížská Street, and the Vítězné náměstí project.
The developer Lighthouse Group has been active in the Czech Republic since 2000. Since then, it has invested in projects with over 1,000 apartments, 60,000 m² of office space, and 42,000 m² of retail space. In addition to activities in Prague 9, it continues to make adjustments to the Holešovice port.
