The Žižkov Town Hall is asking people about the new form of Tachovské Square

Prague - The Žižkov Town Hall plans to transform Tachovské náměstí at the mouth of the tunnel under Vítkov. The intention was approved by the city district council. Residents will help in deciding the new design of the square by expressing their opinions on the proposed architectural studies. An online form and survey ballots are available, said Deputy Mayor Ondřej Rut (ŽnS) to ČTK.
    The renewal of the square is being addressed by several studies, including those from ČVUT. Architects have proposed various options - some focus on greenery and open space for people to gather, one design features a large tree, while another author has placed a café in the center of the square. All studies, according to Rut, consider filling in the former underpass under the railway that previously ran around Vítkov. Repairs are expected to begin within two years.
    Residents of the city district can express their opinions on how they like the proposals. The town hall is also asking them what they like and dislike about the current state of the square, what they miss, and what new things should be created in the area. There is also a debate about whether public restrooms should be maintained.
