Catalyst
David Trottin from the French atelier Périphériques Architectes will speak about the role of architecture in shaping the city. The starting point of architectural design should be to stimulate the development of the urban environment and its aspects - intensity, density, mixing, and randomness. These aspects represent the reality of design that the architect works with. He perceives architecture as a catalyst for living conditions in the city.

The civic association Kruh has been organizing public events and lectures focused on current issues in architecture since 2001. The goal of the lectures and discussions is to facilitate a dialogue about quality Czech and global architecture and architectural creation to a broader audience - i.e., beyond the narrow circle of professionals and architecture students. Kruh has already organized more than a hundred lectures by prominent as well as emerging Czech and foreign architects and theorists of architecture, two film festivals about architecture, and the exhibition Profession: Architect. They regularly publish compendiums of Texts on Architecture. The civic association Kruh is also the initiator of the nationwide festival Architecture Day.
