On Monday, May 20, 2019, at 6:00 PM, there will be a lecture by Mgr. Nina Machková at Judit’s Tower, Mostecká 1, Prague 1, about the Czechoslovak Embassy building in London, which is one of the representatives of the valued yet recently endangered Czechoslovak architecture of the sixties and seventies. What is its place among other domestic creations of this period? Where might we find its sources of inspiration and among which projects did it succeed in the assessment of the Royal Institute of British Architects, which named it the best building in London in 1971? The event is organized by the Club for Old Prague. Entry through the bookstore, admission is voluntary.
