About the exhibition Urgent questions related to the experience of fatherhood are the theme of the exhibition, which brings together two long-time companions from Zlín - painter Pavel Preisner and architect Svatopluk Sládeček. Each has gone through the process of self-definition as a father in a different constellation, and this newly established category has begun to gradually respond to the profession of each of them. Pavel Preisner is a painter for whom fatherhood is a catalyst for a series of fragile memories of childhood. Svatopluk Sládeček is an architect for whom the world of the child takes on the same significance as architectural composition. It is also important for the conception of the exhibition that both authors are intimately familiar with each other's work, having discussed, defended, and mutually influenced it many times. The final form of the exhibition was created during a long-term dialogue and works with media that are unique to each of them. Pavel Preisner is represented by paintings from his "fatherhood" series, which took more than three years to create, while Svatopluk Sládeček created an object that will serve as a spatial pendant to the exhibited paintings and a physical experience of the fatherly lot.
