The series of lectures by offcity architects 2010 focuses even more on the theme of public space compared to last year. It presents architects who actively engage with public space in their practice and are also "stars" of the Czech architectural scene, whose work can be compared in a broader European context.
Sporadical is a young architectural office known not only for its realizations of family houses presented in professional publications both domestically and abroad. Their most media-recognized realization is probably the memorial to the victims of communism in Liberec, which is an example of conceptual and sensitive input of the architect into public space. In Sporadical's portfolio, we can find a range of studies, projects, and realizations - for example, the fountains at Republic Square in Plzeň, outdoor space adjustments for a school in Trutnov, the urban-architectural competition EUROPAN 7 for Tallinn, or an urban study for Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with Cyril Říha. The nearest realization of this office around Pardubice is a family house in Hradiště na Písku.
Organized by the association Terra Madoda as part of the project OFFCITY 2010. This project is realized with the support of the statutory city of Pardubice and the Czech Architecture Foundation.
