PechaKucha Night Ústí nad Labem #5

In the New Year, the Ústí PechaKucha Night returns to its home Galerie Emila Filly in the grounds of the Severočeská armaturka in Předlice. The industrial hall has been filled since the end of November with a rich exhibition titled Dimenze teatrality. Its time is drawing to a close, and therefore, on the eve of its ending, it will host a grand fifth PechaKucha Night with the theme 'Like in the Theatre!'. On Tuesday January 22, 2013, come and enjoy short 20x20 presentations from various perspectives leading in one direction – to the boards that mean the world.

Among the performers, we will welcome Josef Daňek, whose works are part of the ongoing exhibition and thus will not be completely unknown to anyone, as well as Jiří Kovanda, a world-renowned performer, Jaroslav Achab Haidler, a long-time actor and once the director of the Ústí Činoherní studio, and Milan Buričin, an unmistakable star of Czech YouTube. They and many others will be there on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at 20:20.

The traditional beer break will be provided by the traditional bar Mumie, and music will be performed by Karel Mojžíš aka Bonus. The graphic design for the fifth evening is by Nam Do Hoai.

PechaKucha Night is a global phenomenon featuring presentations by artists, architects, designers, and creative people in general. It originated in Tokyo, where the first such evening took place in 2003. Since then, this format has spread to over 600 cities around the world, and we have been organizing it in Ústí nad Labem since April 12, 2012, each time thematically focused on the ongoing exhibition. Each speaker has 20 images at their disposal, and each of them can comment for 20 seconds, with 6 minutes and 40 seconds separating them from the arrival of their successor.
