The lecture will focus on realized public buildings (National Technical Library in Prague, Library Information Center in Hradec Králové, Environmental Education Center Sluňákov near Olomouc...), projects for public space, we will show projects for Ostrava (library, Černá louka), for Opava (upper square, sports complex), and others. We will switch to discussion in a timely manner.
Projektil Architects - the architectural studio was founded in 2002 by architects Roman Brychta (AVU School of Architecture 1995), Adam Halíř (FA ČVUT 2001), Ondřej Hofmaistr (FSt ČVUT 1995), and Petr Lešek (FA ČVUT 1999). Projektil creates economical, welcoming, and fresh architecture knowledgeable of tradition, innovative typologies, and technologies. They promote the connection of contemporary art, design, architecture, and landscape. They invite both experienced and young prospective creators to collaborate.
The studio has received several significant awards for its realizations. The study and research library in Hradec Králové (main award new building Grand Prix of Architects 2009, building of the year 2009), National Technical Library in Prague (award from the Club for Old Prague, state environmental fund award 2009, main award Grand Prix 2010) and the Center for Ecological Activities in Horka nad Moravou near Olomouc (main award Grand Prix 2007, award from the Minister of the Environment 2007).
