Antiquarian and Club Fiducia and the association Šumná města invite you to the lecture Radovan Lipus: Shining Czech Traces in the Balkans. The lecture with a presentation will take place on Thursday, December 2nd at 6:00 PM.
Radovan Lipus's lecture on the buildings of Czech architects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly in its capital – Sarajevo. Special attention will be paid to architect Karel Pařík (1857 Veliš near Jičín – 1942 Sarajevo), who is the author of more than a hundred documented buildings in this former part of Austria-Hungary. The lecture will be supplemented by a presentation of photographs from the filming of the television series of the same name in July 2010. Radovan Lipus – the author of the successful television series Šumná města, co-authored with architect David Vávra. He briefly worked at the Činoherní klub and has been engaged in the drama of the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre in Ostrava since 1992, guest-starring in the National Theatre, the Chamber Stage Arena, the Těšín Theatre, the Moravian Theatre in Olomouc, the Brno National Theatre, the ABC Theatre, the Vinohrady Theatre, and other theatres. He teaches at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ostrava and at DAMU, publishes prose and essays, and participates in the intimate program Stesk of the café wanderer.
