Edward Glaeser is Professor of Economics at Harvard University, author of the bestseller Triumph of the City.
We will talk about his new book and the future of our cities that will have to wake up from the pandemic!

Edward Glaeser, professor of economics at Harvard and one of the most prominent urban economists, has spent several decades defining the role of cities in human lives. His insights are summarized in the groundbreaking book Triumph of the City: How Our Greatest Invention Makes Us Richer, Smarter, Greener, Healthier, and Happier, which completely changes the view of cities and argues that cities support the strong sides of people. In his book, Glaeser takes you on a worldwide tour of urban economies. This fall, the author is preparing to release a new book, Survival of the City: Living and Thriving in an Age of Isolation. It maps how cities have changed and will continue to change in relation to the current pandemic. Every crisis has always brought a shift in quality of life. Cities now stand at a crossroads; they can return to where they were before 2020, or take a step forward. But how should they change and where should we learn from? The questions will be asked by journalist and editor-in-chief of the E15 newspaper, Nikita Poljakov.
