On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at 7:00 PM, a lecture and discussion by Dubravka Sekulić on the topic of Hidden Forces: on extra-legal space and investor-driven urbanism will take place at the cultural space Praha in Brno, Husova 18a.
Dubravka Sekulić is an architect researching the transformations of contemporary cities and how the production of space relates to laws and economics.She teaches at the Institute of Contemporary Art (TU Graz) and participates in research at the Institute of History and Theory of Architecture (ETH Zurich). She has written On Hidden Powers (Into the Great Wide Open, Andreas Rumpfhuber ed., dpr-barcelona, 2017), On Knowledge and ‘Stealing' (The Funambulist 17, Weaponized Infrastructure, May-June 2018), Glotzt Nicht so Romantisch! On Extralegal Space in Belgrade (jan van eyck, 2012), Constructing Non-alignment: The Case of Energoprojekt (msub, 2016). She has conducted research at the Akademie Schloss Solitude (Stuttgart) and Jan Van Eyck Academie (Maastricht). She was a founding member of the Parity Group at the Department of Architecture at ETH Zurich.
