One of the most picturesque towns on the Sázava River has acquired a new appearance for its bus terminal, the most notable feature being the roofing of the platforms. Conceptually, they are designed to resemble two passing steamers: the two island platforms represent the vessels, and the multifunctional vertical elements, known as totems, partitioning each platform into one third, symbolize their chimneys. A tribute to the town is also hidden in the chosen colors: red, blue, and white are not only traditional water sports colors but also symbols of the town of Sázava. The municipal flag can be found at the top of the totems. Given that the Sázava River meanders through the town and due to the strong tradition of the glass industry, light, open roofing structures with a significant proportion of glazing were chosen.
The platforms are 16 meters long, and each serves five bus stops. To ensure that each stop remains clear for users even at this length, they are highlighted with blue and red canopies. The white color then lightens the framework of the structure.
The roofing is based on our standard shelter design, Qadra. It represents a stylistically pure, simple construction that combines various functions to maximize the clarity of the platform. It is characterized by graphics on the glass: vertical lines create an artistic element - accentuating the color of the totem and the roofing, while also serving as an indication of the backs for the benches. Qadra is further distinguished by specially designed benches and backrests incorporated directly into the structure. We first used this type of roofing in the Spanish coastal city of Aviles; however, many innovations have been introduced in Sázava. A more pronounced use of glass led to partial glazing of the originally opaque roof or a new method of mounting the bus indicators, which appear to float beneath the colorful glass panels in the roof. The totems themselves are also made of glass in Sázava. New features include bins for sorted waste, which are integrated into the glazing of the back wall of the shelter for the first time. To maintain the visual purity of the structure and facilitate easier maintenance, courtyard drains were used at the base of the columns for water drainage.

The structure is made of steel and is protected against rust with hot-dip galvanization and polyurethane paint. It is roofed with a sandwich panel and includes integrated lighting. The furniture consists of HPL panels in the color of the platform in the seating or backrest parts, mounted on the steel frame. In Sázava, the platforms are also equipped with integrated information flap displays on the glass. Qadra is also suitable for railway transport.
