Autodesk, s.r.o.

The company Autodesk, a leader in design software, today announced its 2010 product portfolio, which will provide customers with even more competitive advantages through design tools and processes. By using the software solutions in the 2010 lineup, Autodesk is innovating its products and services so that its customers can successfully innovate, compete, and win in the market, especially now when the global economy is experiencing significant slowdown.

“Today we are bringing to the markets of Central and Southeastern Europe products and services aimed at helping our customers cope with unfavorable economic conditions,” said David Palas, Country Sales Manager for Central and Southeastern Europe at Autodesk. “Businesses are looking for ways to reduce their costs, streamline their processes, and acquire new contracts. Design and construction work must be carried out using fewer resources, in less time, and without compromising on quality. Design teams need to eliminate any inefficiencies in their work. Our innovative product lineup for the construction/architecture, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors allows for a reduction in time spent on unproductive routine processes, significant cost savings, and increased productivity for our customers.”

Among the most significant current trends and challenges are:
  • Over the next 30 years, 75% of buildings will be renovated, primarily due to demands for reducing fossil fuel use and lowering greenhouse gas emissions;
  • The current state in the industrial manufacturing sector is forcing companies to conduct design processes more efficiently, quickly, innovatively, and with minimal environmental impact;
  • The public sector plans to globally provide financial incentives amounting to trillions of dollars over the next 5 years.

Improving design innovation is the main motto of the 2010 product line. Companies want to innovate the appearance of their products and the way they are used to improve their customers' experiences with those products. They also need to enhance their design processes to increase their efficiency and ability to bring innovative solutions. The benefits of using Autodesk software include savings in time and money, improved team collaboration, reduced errors, faster time-to-market, lower environmental impact, and higher quality and innovation.

Autodesk currently has offices and development centers in 111 locations worldwide, with its products used by more than 9 million users and over 600,000 companies in more than 160 countries. Autodesk offers solutions to customers from more sectors than any of its competitors.

The announcement of the 2010 lineup includes the following solution areas:

AutoCAD 2010
The latest version of AutoCAD introduces new features that help users address the most challenging design challenges, including design tools for freeform modeling, parametric drawings, and enhanced PDF support, which was one of the most important requests from the Autodesk user group (AUGI).

Revit Platform 2010
Autodesk's software portfolio for Building Information Modeling (BIM) helps architects, designers, contractors, and other professionals throughout the entire lifecycle of a building project to more easily realize ideas, more efficiently utilize digital design data, and communicate better within project teams. Using solutions built on the BIM methodology, companies can perform simulations and analyses more accurately, create variants, and generate their visualizations. This reduces costs during construction, mitigates its impact on the environment, and saves valuable time.

Autodesk Inventor 2010
Autodesk Inventor software, as the foundational solution for digital prototyping, allows for the creation of accurate 3D models to evaluate their shape, compatibility, and functionality before they are physically manufactured. The Autodesk Inventor 2010 product line offers a new level of user comfort and productivity in the area of creating 2D documentation, 3D modeling, better simulation capabilities, robust support for creating plastic components, and new data management and sharing options.

Infrastructure Modeling Software
Modeling software products help users from utilities, telecommunications, and the public sector improve the design and management of infrastructure. The Autodesk product portfolio, including solutions like AutoCAD Map 3D 2010, AutoCAD Raster Design 2010, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise 2010, and Autodesk Topobase 2010, provides users with intelligent and comprehensive solutions for designing, visualizing, simulating, and analyzing both existing assets and planned construction.
