The company PRESBETON has expanded its offer of road curbs with a special system “Barrier-free bus stop curbs”. This is an improved version of the internationally known Kassel curb, which, thanks to a modified profile design, allows for a smooth barrier-free transition between the bus stop platform and low-floor transportation while maintaining all the previous advantages of the classic type Kassel curb. The improved curb profile thus ensures safer, faster, and more comfortable boarding and alighting for all passengers, including wheelchair users and those with strollers. The Kassel curb is designed for use at bus, trolleybus, and tram stops. It is specially profiled to guide the tires of the vehicle as close as possible to the platform edge without the risk of damage.
Custom solutions: Thanks to close cooperation with the original manufacturer of the Kassel curb, which has been developing this system for over two decades, we can, in case of a request for an atypical bus stop solution (buses, trolleybuses, trams), provide more than 200 types of special curb designs such as curves, ramps, or transitions between various heights.
Certification: The product fully complies with the requirements of the standard ČSN EN 1340. High-strength concrete is used for production, ensuring high physical-mechanical parameters (compressive and tensile strength in bending), including resistance to abrasion and the effects of water and chemical de-icing agents (environmental influence degree XF4 according to ČSN EN 206-1). All systems of these curbs meet the requirements for barrier-free boarding in accordance with the Regulation 369/2001 Coll. of the Ministry for Local Development on general technical requirements ensuring the use of buildings by persons with limited mobility. Advantages of use: - safe and optimal guidance of buses and trolleybuses to the boarding edge of the stop using the improved curb profile - smooth barrier-free transition between the bus stop platform and low-floor transportation - increased safety when maneuvering vehicles at the stop - protection and thus prolongation of the lifespan of tires and other vehicle parts entering the stop - less time-consuming access - barrier-free and comfortable access for passengers - anti-slip profiled surface of the stepping areas
